symplr & the DAISY Foundation partner on nursing “Moments that Matter” video series

Overview_Moments That Matter_Thumbnail-1Inspired by DAISY Award honorees from three different hospitals, symplr unveiled our Moments that Matter video series at the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) National Magnet Conference to highlight the powerful impact nurses have on patients, families, and other caregivers and the importance of time.

Research reveals nurses spend only seven hours of a 12-hour shift on direct patient care due to administrative burdens and staff shortages. Our workforce management solutions give time back to clinicians by automating and consolidating processes related to scheduling, timekeeping, recruiting, and clinical communications.

Addressing the Global Healthcare Issue: Burnout

leadership_BJ_Schaknowskisymplr CEO BJ Schaknowski was a guest on CHIME’s leader-to-leader podcast, hosted by Russ Branzell, where they spoke about the issue of clinician burnout and how it can be addressed through technology with more needing to be done and quickly to retain and support staff. BJ points to symplr’s focus on the healthcare worker while most other companies focus on the patient or create technology without involving clinicians and specializing in healthcare. Our goals include helping the overworked healthcare workforce by reducing burnout with technology to automate processes, integrate systems, and ultimately reduce the time healthcare workers spend at a computer instead of with their patients.
