symplr Debuts New symplrPass Rapid Credentialing Station at Health Connect Partners Spring 2015 Conference
ORLANDO, FLA. - APRIL 27, 2015 – symplrTM, a leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) based healthcare compliance and credentialing solutions, today announced a new easy-to-use healthcare credentialing station called symplrPass™ to replace the expensive, high-maintenance credentialing kiosks currently in use across the industry. Vendors and contractors verifying their credentials when entering a healthcare facility use these kiosks.
The new symplrPass station combines patent-pending scanning technology and a smartphone application to provide an experience similar to that found at automated airline check-in counters. The user simply presents their smartphone to the scanner on the symplrPass station, credentials are verified, and a day pass is printed to enable access. The symplrPass station is easy to deploy requiring a small amount of real estate and no internet connection. The only routine maintenance required is day pass paper replenishment. As a result, symplrPass stations may be freely placed at all entry points to a facility to better ensure compliance with facility access programs and policies.
