Payer Enrollment

What is Payer Enrollment?

Payer enrollment is the process by which healthcare providers and organizations establish contracts and agreements with insurance companies or payers to receive reimbursement for services provided to patients.

In what context is Payer Enrollment applicable?

By enrolling, providers are considered “in-network” or “participating.” Becoming listed as such is crucial, as most patients will not pay the higher copay to be seen out-of-network.
