When symplr announced its golf sponsorship program, pro golfer Azahara Muñoz was among the first brand ambassadors symplr chose.
Muñoz has had great success in her professional career, including being named LPGA Rookie of the year in 2010, winning on the LPGA, representing her home country of Spain at two Olympic Games, and competing as a member of Team Europe at four Solheim Cups.
Muñoz recently brought her best game to symplr, inspiring staff and symplr customers alike during an in-depth and personal conversation. She shared details about how she got into the game, what factors helped her rise to the top of her profession, and how she maintains a work-life balance as a new mother.
During the discussion, she expressed gratitude for her career, stating that she feels fortunate to be able to make a living doing a sport she loves, when so many other athletes aren't so fortunate.
symplr's own Karissa Fuller, SVP, Professional Services, and Kristin Russel, chief marketing officer, emceed the event, which was sponsored by symplr's employee resource group sWIN (symplr Women's Initiative Network). sWIN's mission is to provide opportunities for all employees to network together and learn from each other for personal and professional growth. The group aims to help employees realize their full potential by building a workplace where women feel supported and empowered to be their authentic selves.
