Advanced Privileging automates data entry and streamlines the entire clinical privileging process
HOUSTON, TX – September 13, 2022 – symplr®, the leader in enterprise healthcare operations, today unveiled its latest innovation in the symplr Provider product — Advanced Privileging. This first-to-market functionality enables credentialing and medical staff services professionals (MSPs) to manage and evaluate the entire privileging lifecycle in one streamlined workflow.
“Advanced Privileging offers an efficient approach that reduces the administrative and data-entry burdens on providers and medical staff services professionals associated with onboarding and reappointment,” said Brian Fugere, Chief Product Officer, symplr. "Ultimately, we’re enabling health systems with the tools to ensure that credentialed providers (with the appropriate privileges) can treat patients sooner while mitigating operational and financial risk.”
Advanced Privileging meets the needs of today’s MSPs by addressing top challenges:
- Track and manage requested privileges — from provider request submission through committee review and reappointment.
- Access to the industry’s most comprehensive, automated privileging library with embedded ICD/CPT codes. Our library contains more than 9,600 privileges across approximately 300 specialties, from 30 trusted sources, including the Food and Drug Administration, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and the American Osteopathic Association.
- Integrate with electronic health records (EHR) systems to manage outcomes based on utilization of privileges to provide focused professional practice evaluations (FPPE) and ongoing professional practice evaluations (OPPE) and quality reports.
- Facilitate corporate privileges by applying all or a subset of privileges across an entire organization, individual facility, or entity.
With this first-to-market feature, healthcare organizations achieve enterprise-scale publication of privileges, enabling rapid rollout and updates across enterprises. In turn, organizations can draft and review privileges before publishing to the entire organization.
