Donna Goestenkors is a healthcare consultant, speaker, author, educator, and mentor who possesses over 42 years of knowledge and experience that she is privileged to share with colleagues and administrative and medical staff leaders on issues pertinent to the medical staff services industry. Her expertise is diverse and penetrates into all healthcare locations and environments (i.e., coast to coast, system, academic, community and critical access hospitals, Credentials Verification Organizations, Managed Care Organizations, group and solo practice settings). Her talent in leading Medical Staff Services Professionals (MSPs) to their greatest level of competence garners Donna great respect among her colleagues within the industry.
About the speaker, Leslie Foltz
Leslie Foltz holds a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management from Champlain College and has 20 years of healthcare experience, including 9 years in the Medical Staff Services profession. Her wide-ranging healthcare knowledge includes quality management, risk management, human resources, and insurance.
Leslie moved from Vermont to Florida and returned to Medical Staff Services, her career passion, after being recruited to a larger healthcare system. Her most recent accomplishments include bringing the department from a paper to electronic process by building electronic credentialing applications, virtual committee reviews, and online checklists. Leslie enjoys process improvements projects and has led the credentialing team in creating training manuals and documents. She has a vast knowledge of accreditation standards, including Joint Commission, DNV, and NCQA, and has experience reviewing and revising credentialing policies and procedures.
Leslie is currently a Credentials Analyst at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in sunny Florida. She was recently elected as president-elect for the FAMSS Gulf Coast Chapter and is a new member of the FAMSS Education Committee.
