This report addresses whether full-text clinical studies, systematic reviews, and clinical practice guidelines and position statements support the use of intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) using Shockwave balloon-based catheters (Shockwave Medical Inc.) for treatment of calcified arteries in patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD).
