This report addresses whether full-text clinical studies, systematic reviews, and clinical practice guidelines and position statements support the use of the Aurora Extravascular Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (EV-ICD) System (Medtronic Inc.) for the treatment of life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias (ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation) to prevent sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and sudden cardiac death (SCD).
