Driven to win: symplr partners with top golfers who exemplify excellence

At symplr, we believe in the relentless pursuit of operational excellence, and we have teamed up with two of the world’s best PGA TOUR players who personify the hard work and determination needed to win at the highest levels of their sport. We are proud for Sepp Straka and Russell Henley to wear the symplr name each week.

SEPP STRAKA

Sepp Straka entered 2023 already a rising star on the PGA TOUR, and his performance on the TOUR in 2023 cemented his status among the game’s elite. A two-time tour winner, his stellar play secured him a coveted roster spot on Team Europe for the 2023 Ryder Cup. Add two runner-up finishes at The Open Championship and the Hero World Challenge, it’s evident that Sepp will be a prominent presence on the PGA TOUR for years to come.

Born in Austria, Sepp’s family moved to Georgia when he was 14. He went on to play collegiate golf at the University of Georgia, where he earned All-Conference recognition and helped his team win the 2016 Southeastern Conference Championship.

Sepp made his PGA TOUR debut in 2019 and his breakthrough performance came in February 2022, when he won The Honda Classic. With this win, Sepp became the first Austrian to win a PGA TOUR event. In July 2023, he captured his second tour win at the John Deere Classic, which included a final round score of 62. His exceptional performance in 2023 propelled him to a noteworthy 14th position in the PGA TOUR’s season-long FedExCup Rankings and a career-high 18th position in the World Golf Rankings.

Sepp represented Austria in the 2020 Summer Olympics and will look to compete again in the 2024 Summer Olympics.

RUSSELL HENLEY

Russell Henley defies the conventional mold of a PGA TOUR player. He not only excels on the golf course but has effortlessly shared the stage, jamming on his guitar, with music icons like Keith Urban and Darius Rucker. While his musical talents are impressive, it’s on the fairways and greens where Russell truly dazzles, as he continues to ascend the world golf rankings.

A four-time PGA TOUR winner, Russell most recently took home the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba in the 2022-23 PGA season. Not only did he take home the trophy, but he also tied the tournament scoring record and finished four strokes ahead of the field. Russell’s impressive play in 2023 helped him secure 14 top-25 finishes in 2023, including a top-5 finish at the 2023 Masters Tournament. He finished the year ranked tied for 14th in the FedExCup standings and 25th on the World Golf Ranking.

A Georgia native, Russell made his professional debut in 2011 following a four-year collegiate career at the University of Georgia. During his college days, he won the 2010 Fred Haskins Award as the most outstanding collegiate golfer. In 2013, he burst onto the PGA TOUR, becoming the first rookie in 12 years to win his debut with a record-setting performance at the Sony Open.

Beyond the links, Henley's commitment to his hometown is evident through the establishment of the Five Star Kevin Brown Russell Henley Celebrity Classic golf tournament. The annual event raises money for the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia, Macon Volunteer Clinic, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
