Many organizations struggle with maintaining proper compliance for Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) - and today, regulators are coming to scrutinize this area even more than they have in the past. In this webcast, Wake Forest School of Medicine's Zachary Hartsell will focus on what this means for allied health professionals, highlighting physician assistants and nurse practitioners. He will review the fundamentals of OPPE and FPPE and discuss a framework for practical compliance maintenance, including the peer reference process and performance benchmarking.

“Physician assistants and nurse practitioners play vital roles in today’s healthcare system,” said Patrick Birmingham, Vice President and General Manager, Provider Management and Payor Enrollment for symplr. “Zachary is well aware of the importance of physician assistants and nurse practitioners in his role as program director for the Wake Forest Physician Assistants Program. He also focuses on workforce innovation, credentialing, and redesigned care models in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center’s Chief Medical Office providing him with the perspective needed to help guide attendees through the FPPE and OPPE compliance processes.”
