This year the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) hosted their annual Leading and Living Conference in the newly renovated Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Des Moines, Iowa. This event is used to bring all levels of hospital and healthcare staff together in a single place to exchange best practices, ideas and information. There is also the opportunity for vendors to “set up shop” and interact with attendees of the conference during a trade show. An IHA board member confirmed the conference recorded a record number of people pre-registering for this year’s event with over 1,700 people pre-registering. The keynote speech with the most slated to attend was on Wednesday, with over 1,100 people expected to attend.
